CSS INDUSTRIES, INC. APPOINTS RICHARD L. MORRIS AS CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Richard L. Morris has joined CSS Industries, Inc. (NYSE: CSS) as a Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this position, Mr. Morris reports to David J. M. Erskine, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Prior to joining CSS Industries, Mr. Morris was Managing Director for Xernon Technology Solutions, an information technology strategy and oversight consulting organization. Over his career, he served as Chief Information Officer for Exide Corporation, Wellspring Resources, BetzDearborn and Perkin Elmer and held information technology positions at U.S. Healthcare, Fidelity Bank, Combustion Engineering and Pitney Bowes.

CSS is a consumer products company primarily engaged in the manufacture and sale to mass market retailers of seasonal, social expression products, including gift wrap, gift bags, boxed greeting cards, gift tags, tissue paper, paper and vinyl decorations, classroom exchange Valentines, decorative ribbons and bows, Halloween masks, costumes, make-ups and novelties, educational products and Easter egg dyes and novelties.
